DEGROWTH: ADAM MACKO & PETER CÁBOCKY
The premiere exhibition project examines the relationships between post-minimalist painting and the idea of non-growth, using strategies of dematerialization, descent of zeal to create small-format and unambitious paintings, or critical work with regimes of visibility. Conscious determination of the limits of painting as resistance to growth (Peter Cábocky), abandoned body as a space for affect in the era of physical "refining" and biochemical cultivation (Adam Macko).
The exhibition presented within the dramaturgical cycle NEW NAMES - NEW MYTHS is not a product of a workshop or project, nor is it a collective exploration, it is a small exhibition reflecting the possibilities of sustainable artistic work. The project is supported using public funding by Slovak Arts Council.
